Using This Site

Using the new Region 14 site is pretty straightforward. First, click the REGISTER link to your left to register. Select any username and password you wish. Follow the instructions in your e-mail and you will be registered.

The main navigation links are to your left and up above. They are the same links. You can select where you want to go throughout the site and find training suited for you.

Under the REGION 14 TRAINING link above and to your left the following options are available:

1: Download Training Briefs- Here you can download WCSO and UHP training Briefs for quick training you can turn in for credit. Files open in an external PDF file.

2: Upcoming Training Events-  These are Region 14 sponsored training sessions that are coming up. You can select this link and view details about the training that is being provided, and you can even register for the class. Future versions of this site will include an online payment option so you can register officers and make payment for the training in one easy step.

3: View Training Calendar- This is a simple training calendar that shows upcoming Region 14 events.

4: Add a Training Event- This is where YOU, the end user can enter a training event on the website. There are a few tabs on this page, however you only need to be concerned with the COMMON and CALENDAR tabs to post your event. The others can be ignored.Training added here automatically updates the calendar.

TRAINING BRIEFS:

If you are with UHP or WCSO and have a new or updated Training Brief to add to the site, please This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and I'll add it. I have to program those in and upload with FTP.

SUBMIT TRAINING LINK:

Feel free to submit any law enforcement link you have. If it's a great training link or site I can add it to the main menu bar under Other Training.

Also, if you are having any troubles, you can e-mail your event to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   and I will be happy to post it for you. However, before selecting this option, please try to post it yourself- I've worked hard to make it as streamlined as possible. If you can't, please include why so I can either fix the problem or try to make it even easier for everyone to be a part of Region 14. The goal is a user friendly site.

Thats a good idea- I can just turn that fature on with the flick of a switch- I turned it off by default because I wasn't sure if that was something ppl wanted to show- but I'll turn it all on. It'll be in the forum section. I'll even post my photo for an avitar- why not eh?

Hey Rob I think a good thing we could do on this site is add a tab with all the members with their contact information. The individual member can edit whether they want their info to show but then you could email or call a member that you couldn't normally contact? Good idea or not?

Hey can you make it so we can attach bigger files to the discussion forum. I was trying to post some training videos to share but it wouldn't let me attach anything.
